  2. There are many instances where we use measurements in our daily lives. For example, in cooking we use measuring cups and spoons to be accurate and precise when baking. Also, in reading our height and weight, we use measurements to figure out what is our height/weight. So, the use of measurements in the daily life is extremely important because it would not be there to help us with baking or calculating our weight.

  5. Generally, measurements are made when precision is required. Perhaps the most common example of this is cooking, sometimes with precise measurements (3 tablespoons of sugar) or sometimes purely in estimation (add ‘enough’ salt).

Other examples in daily life are:
    – Time (Latest moment you can leave bed to still catch the bus)
    – Money (buying lunch)
    – Temperature (what clothes to wear)
    – Any medication
    – Counting how long before class ends

Specifically in my life, I often measure my tuning, or work with ‘measure’ numbers (ha).

  7. Measurements that are made in my life would be the measurement of my height, the dimensions of furniture before purchase, finding the weight of food in groceries, making time estimates, measurement of the temperature to see if we are using more power than we should, and to measure out medicine.

  8. There are many instances where we use measurement in our daily lives. Most of the time we use measurements when we need the exact number for something, like a certain temperature, or we use it when we need something general, e.g. cutting fabric and you need about a metre worth. Some examples measuring height and weight, looking at the measurements when reading a recipe, making distance and time when traveling, measuring various driving speeds and measuring temperature outside to figure out what to wear.

  18. Measurements are made quite often in one’s life. Measuring time is throughout your day is important for making sure that you’re not late for anything. Another important measuring application is weather data, so that you don’t wear shorts when it’s 14 degrees and there is a strong wind. A final application of measurements is in cooking, whether you are measuring ingredients or calories (some people are obsessed by the latter).
